How to Report

If you encounter abusive, harmful, or illegal content or behaviour while using Socialmesh, please contact us at:

When reporting, please include as much of the following as possible:

  • Screenshots of the content or behaviour
  • Approximate date and time of the incident
  • Node identifiers (short name, long name, or node number) if available
  • A short description of what happened

We review all reports and will respond as soon as practicable.

What We Can Do

Depending on the nature and severity of a report, we may take the following actions:

  • App-level controls: Block, mute, or filter content at the application layer
  • Local deletion: Help you remove unwanted content from your device
  • Account restrictions: For account-based social features (profiles, posts, signals), we can restrict or terminate access to users who violate our Terms of Service
  • Record preservation: Maintain report records to detect patterns and support any necessary escalation

What We Cannot Do

Socialmesh is a companion app for Meshtastic mesh radio networks. Mesh radio messages are transmitted over a decentralised network of third-party devices using peer-to-peer radio communication.

We cannot recall, intercept, or delete radio transmissions that have already been relayed by other devices on the mesh network. We do not operate the radio infrastructure and have no access to messages in transit or stored on other users' devices.

Emergency

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services immediately. Socialmesh is not an emergency communication service and should not be relied upon for emergency response.
