A complete Meshtastic client for iOS and Android. Send messages, track nearby nodes, configure your radio, and leave ephemeral signals for people in your area. Built for off-grid communication without internet or accounts.
Available now on the App Store and Google Play.
Socialmesh shows presence the way a LoRa mesh actually works. No fake "online" pings, no instant offline. Everything is inferred from real radio activity and last-heard time.
Socialmesh is built around presence: who’s active, who’s nearby, and what the mesh is doing right now. It’s not a chat app bolted onto LoRa — it’s a living map of activity that updates only when real packets arrive.
Broadcast Signals, discover nearby nodes, and watch activity decay naturally when radios go quiet. No fake pings, no “online” lies — just the mesh as it is.
Use Signals like beacons for outings, meetups, or trailheads. TTL decay keeps the map honest— stale posts disappear without manual cleanup.
Every node you discover on the mesh is automatically catalogued in the NodeDex — a living record of your mesh encounters. Each node receives a unique procedural Sigil and a personality Trait inferred from real behavioral data. Think of it as a naturalist's field journal for radio networks.
Every node gets a unique constellation-style geometric identity generated deterministically from its node number. The same node always produces the same sigil — no randomness, no variation. Sigils are built from outer polygons with 3 to 8 vertices, optional inner rings, radial lines, and a unique 3-color palette drawn from 16 curated colors.
As a node accumulates history, its sigil visually matures through five evolution stages — Seed, Marked, Inscribed, Heraldic, and Legacy — with subtle line weight changes, color deepening, and micro-etch detail that reward long-term observation.
Open the NodeDex from the drawer menu. Every node you have ever encountered appears with its sigil, trait badge, and patina score. Tap any entry to see its full detail screen with observation timeline, field notes, and exportable Sigil Card.
Traits are never user-assigned — they are passively inferred from observable telemetry and behavior. A node that forwards heavy traffic earns the Relay trait. One seen across multiple positions becomes a Wanderer. A rarely-seen node relative to its age is classified as a Ghost. Each trait includes a confidence score and evidence lines explaining exactly why the classification was made.
The Patina Score (0-100) measures how much observable history a node has accumulated, computed across six axes: tenure, encounters, geographic reach, signal depth, social connections, and recency. Information is progressively disclosed as observation accumulates — new nodes start sparse, and detail unlocks over time through five tiers: Trace, Noted, Logged, Inked, and Etched.
Use Social Tags to label nodes as Contact, Trusted Node, Known Relay, or Frequent Peer. Filter and sort the entire NodeDex by tag. Co-seen tracking records which nodes appear together, building a social graph of mesh relationships over time.
